Happy Days! Summer is upon us and that means the Folk on the Patio season at SPIN!. The perpetual winner of Best of Kansas City Pizza awards and the second-place finisher in the recent Chowdown Bracket Contest (seriously, who did not think a Bar-B-Q restaurant was bound to win in Kansas City), SPIN! should be on your calendar. With music on the patio, this is a must do. This show is produced by Martha Gershun. In case of extreme heat, the show will be cancelled. If you have not been to Swagger you definitely need to give this place a try. One of the entrants in the recent Chowdown Bracket Contest and a repeat feature on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Swagger is widely praised for its burgers. I personally love the Cuban sandwich and the selection of rye whiskies, but i am sure you will find something to your taste. My musical guest in August will be Larry Garrett, so you can be sure that the food and drink will be outstanding and the music the best we can bring to you. Come out and give it all a try. This has become one of my favorite places to play. The food is terrific, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the room is nice. I play completely without amplification, so the experience is very intimate and mellow. There is live acoustic music with dinner every Friday evening. I hope you can come out to join me.
